A dead baby was found floating in a sewage canal beside a boarding house in Brgy. Daro, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, on Christmas Day,
A video taken by Daro Brgy. Captain Bencio Tan showed the newborn baby floating in the sewage canal.
He said they already identified the mother of the baby who was confined at a hospital.
A newborn baby was also found dead at a dumpsite at Purok Yellowtops, Brgy. Candau-ay in Dumaguete on Thursday, Dec. 26.
Manuel Oira Maquiling, a barangay kagawad, reported the incident to the police.
The police are still investigating the incident and determining the identities of the baby’s parents.*
