A truck driver and a teenager were found dead in Talisay City and Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, during the weekend.
Alias “Mario”, 50, a truck driver and a resident of Hacienda Sta. Cecilia, Brgy. Dos Hermanas, Talisay, was found dead inside his truck in the vicinity of First Farmers Holding Corp. on Saturday, March 1, the police said.
The victim was found by his fellow driver lying on his belly inside his truck.
A follow up investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of victim’s death, the police said.
Meanwhile, alias “Renky”, 19, of Brgy. DSB, Pontevedra, died after he was gored by a carabao in a rice field on Saturday, March 1.
The victim asked permission to feed their carabao in the rice field at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, and failed to return home, his father said.
The father and his cousin searched for him and saw the victim at about 12:14 a.m. of Sunday lying in the rice field with multiple wounds.
They also saw the carabao roaming around the area with a detached rope and visible bloodstains on its horns, left ear, and the rope.
The victim was brought to the Pontevedra Rural Health Unit but was declared dead on arrival.*
