A tricycle driver died and two of his passengers were injured when a truck accidentally collided with their vehicle in Brgy. Alicante, E.B. Magalona town, Negros Occidental, Tuesday, Nov. 28.
Nilo Liboon, 40, died after his tricycle was bumped by a prime mover truck along the highway in Brgy. Alicante at about 12:40 p.m., Tuesday, the police said.
Injured were Wilma Liboon and Aljon Edroso of Brgy. 10, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
The driver of the truck was Erwin Melocoton, 46, a resident of Brgy. Fabrica, Sagay City.
The tricycle tried to avoid hitting an individual who was crossing the street which resulted in the collision with the truck, the police said.
The truck driver is now under the custody of the police, who are waiting for the decision of the victim’s family on whether they will file a case or not.*
