A tricycle driver was arrested for resistance and disobedience to a person in authority in San Enrique, Negros Occidental, on Sunday, April 5.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Joe,” 39, a resident of Brgy. Poblacion.
Authorities said the suspect was seen repeatedly revving his tricycle at a barangay entrance, causing alarm.
When a responding officer ordered him to stop, the suspect allegedly refused and instead drew a screwdriver and challenged the officer.
The officer then confiscated the weapon and arrested the suspect.
Police said the suspect was informed of his rights and is now under their custody.
Charges for violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code are being prepared.*
