A man died when the tractor he was driving fell off a cliff while his companion was injured in Hacienda Luygoy 2, Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City, on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Mario Tandog, 59, died when his chest was pinned behind the steering wheel of the tractor when it hit the bottom of the cliff.
Rene Sawsi was injured when he was thrown off the tractor, while their other companion, Erwin Martinez, was able to jump off.
Wilma Tandog, the victim’s wife, said they were supposed to collect cow manure to be used as fertilizer when the tractor fell off the cliff.
It took rescuers three hours to retrieve the body of Tandog from under the steering wheel.
