TP LaunchPad marks milestone year with 19,000 students reached nationwide

TP in the Philippines, through its TP LaunchPad program, regularly tours and welcome students from various universities and colleges eager to learn and explore the opportunities in TP and the country’s growing IT-BPM sector.*

TP in the Philippines, formerly known as Teleperformance, has officially capped a record-breaking year for TP LaunchPad, its flagship university relations and student empowerment program.

In 2025, the initiative achieved a significant milestone by reaching over 19,000 students nationwide and expanding its footprint to more than 40 partner schools,  a press release from TP said Thursday, Jan. 8.

This growth reflects the company’s ongoing mission to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world IT-BPM industry readiness through the continuous forging of strategic alliances with academic institutions.

The program’s impact in 2025 highlights a strengthened commitment to supporting the growing talent ecosystem in the Philippines. By implementing over 60 events and facilitating 22 immersive site tours across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, TP LaunchPad generated thousands of career leads and gave students an on-the-ground introduction to world-class operations, it said.

Through a combination of interview workshops, mock interviews, campus tours, and mentorship sessions, the program continues to provide vital support to young Filipinos as they navigate the transition from the classroom to the professional workforce.

TP in the Philippines’ Chief People Officer Jeffrey Johnson said that the program is designed to impart essential development resources and career opportunities to the future workforce.

He noted that by investing in the development of the youth, the company is ensuring a sustainable career pipeline for the entire Philippine IT-BPM industry. This investment is viewed as a serious commitment to providing the right resources to empower individuals throughout their professional journeys, he said.

A major highlight of the year was the expansion of TP’s network of university alliances, most notably through a new partnership with Mapua Malayan Colleges Laguna and its digital learning arm, Mapua Malayan Digital College.

This collaboration focuses on designing curricula that integrate specific industry demands to equip graduates with near-hire readiness. In a reciprocal move, the college will also extend full scholarship grants to five deserving TP employees, allowing them to pursue higher education and complete their degrees while continuing to advance their careers within the company.

In addition to academic growth, TP LaunchPad made significant strides in inclusivity and impact sourcing this year. The program successfully accommodated participants who are deaf or hard of hearing, emphasizing a deep-rooted commitment to opening opportunities for people with disabilities.

TP also  expanded its partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority for its Enterprise-Based Education and Training program, making skills training and IT-BPM readiness more accessible to those living in underserved communities.*
