The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) has designated PCol. Criscente Carbonilla Tiguelo as officer-in-charge of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), replacing Col. Ronan Claravall.

Tiguelo’s appointment took effect Friday, Sept. 16, under General Orders Number PRO NIR-GO-DES-2025-1018, the police said.

Claravall’s designation as provincial director ended Sept. 15 through General Orders Number 195 and a turnover of command ceremony was scheduled 4 p.m. Tuesday.

PRO-NIR Regional Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas C. Ibay said the command is confident in Tiguelo’s leadership.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to ensure peace and order in Negros Oriental. With Col. Tiguelo at the helm of NOPPO, we expect continuity of strong law enforcement initiatives aligned with the mission and vision of PRO-NIR and the Philippine National Police,” he said.

Tiguelo previously served as chief of the Regional Operations Division of PRO-NIR and is a member of Philippine National Police Academy Class 2000.

Claravall, a member of PNPA Class 1999, will move to the Directorate for Operations at the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame.

PRO-NIR assured the public that the change in leadership will not affect the command’s focus on responsive and community-oriented policing anchored on transparency, accountability, and professionalism.*
