Three more mayors from Negros Island were elected officials of the League of Cities of the Philippines along with Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez who is LCP chairman at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Quezon City on Thursday, July 21.
Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Remollo is LCP vice president for the Visayas and Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo was reelected deputy secretary general for Visayas.
Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez is LCP focal mayor for youth and sports development.
LCP president is Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama.
The League of Cities is composed of 146 cities in the country and its creation is mandated by Section 499 of the Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.*
