Three persons died and two were injured in motorcycle accidents in Negros Occidental on Monday and Saturday, June 17 and 15.
Motorcycle driver Hermilo Pajora died while his 17-year-old passenger was injured when their vehicle accidentally bumped a funeral car at the Hinigaran-Isabela Road in Brgy. Nanunga, Hinigaran, on Monday, the police said.
The funeral car was parked on the side of road with its hazard light on while waiting for a casket to be loaded when the accident happened, the police said.
The funeral car driven by Reynaldo Pilliones is owned by Koinonia Funeral Homes.
Meanwhile, two construction workers died while their companion was injured when their motorcycle accidentally bumped another motorcycle at Crossing Ba-o, Brgy. Camba-og, Hinigaran, Saturday.
The fatalities were the motorcycle driver Julius Cañete, 21 and his passenger Robert Namo, 20, while Jones Moreno, 23, was injured, the police said.
They were construction workers from Hinigaran.
The other motorcycle was driven by John Michael Mendoza, 36, who along with his backrider sustained minor injuries.*
