A barangay tanod was shot dead in Brgy, Efigenio Lizares, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, 11 p.m. Friday, May 19.
Killed was Dennis Bergantin Tribaco, 49, of Brgy. Zone 10, Talisay, the police reported Saturday.
The victim and his wife on board a motorcycle were on their way to the Bacolod-Silay Airport to fetch their daughter.
They were tailed by two unidentified persons on a motorcycle who suddenly shot Tribaco on the forehead, his wife told the police.
The Talisay City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office team that responded to the incident found the victim with no signs of life.
The police still had no leads on his assailants on Sunday.*
