Balita Hiligaynon
Indi man pwede maka lupad ang ano man nga aircraft sa ibabaw sang bulkan.

The restive Kanlaon Volcano.*Richard Malihan photoThe Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) issued a notice of increased seismic activity at Kanlaon Volcano on Wednesday afternoon, July 3. Ninety volcanic earthquakes were recorded by the Kanlaon Volcano Network between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 12 p.m.  Wednesday, Phivolcs said. Most of these earthquakes were generated within a depth of 20 kilometers beneath the southeastern sector of the edifice and consist of five volcano-tectonic events that are produced by rock fracturing, and eighty-five weak low-frequency events that indicate the movement of volcanic fluids, it said. Phivolcs said the volcanic sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas emission from the summit crater has been persistently elevated ...

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Tuesday, July 2, issued another notice of elevated volcanic sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas at Kanlaon Volcano.Volcanic SO2 gas emission from the summit crater on Tuesday averaged 5,083 tons, the second highest emission from the volcano recorded this year and the third since instrumental gas monitoring began, Phivolcs said. Kanlaon has been degassing increased concentrations of volcanic SO2 and volcanic earthquake activity has persisted at an average of 10 events per day, it said. The overall monitoring parameters indicate that magmatic processes beneath volcano may be driving current unrest, causing persistently high concentrations of volcanic gas emission, swelling of the edifice, and occasional volc...

The Kanlaon Volcano  gas emissions dropped to 3,007 tons.*Ronnie Baldonado photo The volcanic gas emissions at Kanlaon Volcano have decreased but the possibility of an eruption still  remains, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported on Monday, July 1. The volcanic sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas emission from the summit crater of Kanlaon   dropped from 5,397 tons, its highest recorded level, on Friday to 3,007 tons, Mari-Andylene Quintia, Phivolcs resident volcanologist based in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, said. The normal volcanic sulfur dioxide gas emission of Kanlaon is 300 tons a day, so 3,007 tons is still high, she reiterated. There were five  volcanic earthquakes at Kanlaon and its volcanic edifi...

Sa advisory sang Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology mahimo matabo ang hinali nga paglupok sang steam ukon may phreatic explosion.
