Face-to-face classes are expected to start in 31 more schools in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental early next year.Face-to-face classes started at the Alangilan National High School in Bacolod City and nine other schools in Negros Occidental on Monday, December 6.Bacolod Superintendent of Schools Gladys Amylaine Sales said on Tuesday, December 7, that she has recommended face-to-face classes in five other schools in Bacolod City.She suggested the inclusion of the Arceo Elementary School, Rafael Alunan Elementary School, Asuncion Lizares Elementary School, Fr. Man found dead at BREDCO port
Police Station 2 photoA man was found dead at Palanca Street in the BREDCO port at Barangay 2, Bacolod City, Tuesday morning, December 7.The fatality was identified as Dennis Aranas of Barangay 6, Bacolod.Police said the victim had no signs of life when he was discovered at the side of the road with a stab wound on his back.Capt. Paul Vincent Pendon, Police Station 2 commander, said they are still investigating the motive for the killing.He said it’s possible the victim was killed somewhere, and that his body was dumped in the area.*

Negros Occidental and Bacolod City now have 1,946,639 registered voters for the 2022 polls, Provincial Election Supervisor Ian Lee Ananoria said Tuesday, December 7.This is an increase of 57,439 voters from the 1,889,200 in the May 2019 national elections.He said voters who failed to vote in two previous elections, died, or transferred were purged from the list.In the new voters' list, Bacolod City has 327,403 voters, or an increase by 14,587 from 312,816 in 2019.The following are the number of voters in the six districts of Negros Occidental:
