Strengthen crime prevention, new Bacolod station 4 chief told

Bacolod City Police Director, Col. Noel Aliño, has directed the new acting commander of Police Station 4 to strengthen crime prevention efforts in his area.

This came after the Bacolod City Police Office announced that PS4 Commander Capt. Peter John Ramos was relieved from his position and will be replaced by Capt. Francis Depasucat.

Bacolod City Police Office Spokesperson, LtCol. Ronnie Brillo, said that Ramos was relieved as he is about to take an Officer Advance Course and will be assigned at the BCPO headquarters.

Brillo clarified that the the relief of Ramos was not because of the series of crimes that happened within the scope of PS4, adding that the police officer had already asked for his reassignment last month.

Depasucat was previously assigned to PS4 before he went to take an Investigation Basic Course which resulted in him being assigned as deputy commander of Police in Police Station 3.

Brillo said that with the reassignment of Depasucat to PS4, Aliño ordered him to strengthen the crime prevention activities of the station and assist the investigators in identifying and arresting the suspects.

The BCPO spokesperson also added that Aliño has also directed other station commanders to intensify anti-criminality activities and solve the series of theft and shooting incidents in Bacolod.*
