
The stepfather of a Grade 10 student who was found dead in La Carlota City on Wednesday, August 21, sought the help of authorities to clarify that he was not responsible for her death.
Pearl Joy Galve, 15, who was a student at Sum-Ag National High School in Bacolod disappeared on July 29 and was found dead in a sugarcane field in La Carlota City on August 14.
The police have yet to establish who was behind her killing.
Her stepfather, whose name was withheld, on Wednesday, August 21, surfaced to seek the help of authorities saying he wants to clarify that he was not responsible for the death of Pearl Joy.
He had helped search for Pearl Joy when she disappeared but left her mother after a misunderstanding that is why he could not be located, he said.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez is offering a P50,000 reward for any information that could lead to solving the killing of Galve. *
