President Rodrigo Duterte has declared special non-working days in Bago and Talisay cities in Negros Occidental to mark their charter anniversaries.
It is fitting and proper that the people of Bago and Talisay be given the full opportunity to celebrate and participate in their charter days, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said in two separate proclamations he signed by the authority of the president.
Proclamation 1293 declares February 19 a special non-working holiday in Bago City that is marking its 56th Charter Anniversary, and Proclamation 1298 declares February 11 a special non-working holiday in Talisay City City that is marking its 24th Charter Anniversary.
Medialdea stressed the need for public health measures of the national government to be observed during both occasions.*
