The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the second tranche of salary increases for city government’s employees during its regular session on Wednesday, August 6, Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson said.
They granted the request of Mayor Greg Gastaya for the passage of an appropriation ordinance adopting and authorizing the implementation of the second tranche of the Modified Salary Schedule for Local Government Personnel mandated by the Department of Budget and Management, Sayson, SP Committee on Appropriations and Finance chairman, said.
The amount of P18,700,000 for the pay hikes will be sourced from the Special Purpose Appropriation-Other Personnel Benefits Fund of the 2025 Annual Budget, the mayor said in his request.
A certification from the City Budget Officer on the availability of funds was also submitted to the SP.*
