The Sangguniang Panlalawigan is aiming to approve the P6,457,539,794 proposed 2025 Annual Budget of the Negros Occidental provincial government by Dec. 3, Acting Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer said on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Ferrer said the SP Committee on Finance chaired by Board Member Rommel Debulgado is conducting a series of budget hearings to be attended by representatives of the different departments of the provincial government.
The proposed 2025 budget is P1,022,895,094 or 18.82 percent higher than the P5,434,644,700 budget for 2024.
The proposed budget sets P6,203,085,130 for the General Fund and P254,454,664 for the Economic Enterprise Development Department, a special account under the General Fund.*
