Face-to-face classes have been suspended in several towns and cities in southern Negros Occidental on Monday, September 1, to ensure public safety amid inclement weather.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said a low-pressure area and the Southwest Monsoon is expected to bring 50 to 100 mm of rain to Negros Occidental on Monday, which could cause flooding and landslides.
Among the areas where classes were suspended are Kabankalan City, Isabela, Binalbagan, Himamaylan City, La Castellana, Ilog, and Hinigaran.*
