A vendor’s body was found floating near the shoreline at Purok Guiwanon, Brgy. 4, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, on Good Friday, April 18.
Ricardo Requilme Jacubi, 49, of Purok 4, Barangay 2, Sipalay, drowned, the Coast Guard Station Southern Negros Occidental reported.
Prior to the incident the victim was confined for two days at the Sipalay City Infirmary for excessive drinking and body tremors.
According to his family, the victim appeared to be mentally unstable and was hallucinating, the police said.
His body was retrieved by personnel from Sipalay City Incident Command Team and Philippine Coast Guard.*
