A septuagenarian was killed while the 9-year-old boy who was under his care was injured after they were stabbed in their home at Abada Escay in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, in the wee hours of Tuesday, September 21.
Killed was 73-year-old Aurelio Rull, a former barangay tanod, while the boy sustained a stab wound on his head and was rushed to a hospital.
Capt. Elmer Bonilla, Police Station 7 chief, said an unidentified suspect entered the victims’ home at around 3:30 a.m. and stabbed the senior citizen multiple times.
He said the minor was also stabbed because he happened to be there.
Police investigators are looking into a grudge as the motive for the killing as there were no missing things from the victim’s house.
The police have identified a person of interest.*
