Senator Risa Hontiveros said the Senate hearings on the drug war extra judicial killings will be victim-centered.
Senator Aquilino Pimentel III is set to lead the Senate Blue Ribbon Subcommittee hearings on the Duterte administration’s war on illegal drugs that will start on Monday, Hontiveros, who was in Bacolod City Friday, Oct. 25, said.
She was in Bacolod for the celebration of the MassKara Festival and paid a courtesy call on Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson at the provincial Capitol.
They will invite resource persons who have been helping victims, survivors, widows and orphans of the war on drugs to the Senate hearings, Hontiveros said.
Hontiveros said she is confident that the hearings in the House of Representatives and the Senate will yield results. In fact the House of Representatives Quad Committee hearings have already resulted in a lot of revelations, she said.
