Search for Negros Chess Masters July 15-16

The Negros Occidental Sports Office is encouraging young chess players to join a chess tournament at the  Provincial Capitol Social Hall  in Bacolod City on  Friday and Saturday.

The Under 13 category is for chess players below 13 years of age, while the Under 17 is for those 17 of age or below, a Provincial Sports Office press release said.

 Participants are urged to bring a copy of their PSA-issued birth certificate for verification.

Expected for each category is 25 to 30 participants from different LGUs for a total of 100 to 120 participants, the press release said.

There will be  50 to 60 participants in 17 and under category on July 15 and on July 16 more than 50 to 60 participants for 13 and under, it added.*
