A 25-year-old man was shot dead by an unidentified suspect in Sitio Kainggat, Brgy. 1, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, early Wednesday morning, March 11.
Police identified the victim as Joelito Javoc of Brgy. 1.
Residents reported hearing several gunshots before discovering the victim lying lifeless on the ground.
Police recovered one live round of a .45 caliber pistol and two empty shells of the same caliber at the crime scene.
Authorities said the victim had been arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in 2019.*
