San Carlos jail drug free

Fifty-two jail personnel and persons deprived of liberty yielded negative results during the random drug testing by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the San Carlos District Jail in Negros Occidental, on Saturday, October 21.

The PDEA-Negros Occidental conducted a search and seizure operation and random drug testing at tne district jail.

The operation was led by members of PDEA VI Seaport Interdiction Unit (SIU) Negros Occidental together with the San Carlos City Police.

They conducted random drug tests on 39 PDLs and 13 jail personnel and all yielded negative results.

During their search and seizure operation, the PDEA also reported that there were no illegal drugs found in the area.

This activity is part of their anti-illegal drugs campaign in all jail facilities in Negros Occidental and in the region, the PDEA said.*
