
Police served a warrant of arrest against a detained suspect for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act inside the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology compound in Brgy. Rizal, Sagay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Jan. 5.
The suspect was identified as Vincent Alfonso or alias “Badjaw,” 26, single, jobless, and a resident of Avanceña Street, Brgy. Poblacion 1 in Sagay City.
Police said the warrant was served at around 4:01 p.m. through a Manhunt Charlie operation conducted by the tracker team of the Sagay Component City Police Station.
Authorities said the warrant was for violation of Section 28(a) in relation to Section 28(e)(1) and Section 28(g), Article V of Republic Act 10591.
The warrant was issued on Jan. 22 by Sagay City Regional Trial Court Branch 73 Executive Judge Reginald M. Fuentebella for Criminal Case No. 26-9328-S, with recommended bail set at P120,000.
The suspect is currently detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in Sagay City.*
