Immediate Past President Rolem Basiya turns over the gavel to Joselito Sion to symbolize the change of club leadership.*
The 30th president of the Rotary Club of Bacolod Central officially took over leadership, along with the new set of officers for Rotary Year 2025-2026, during induction and turnover rites at the Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City, recently.
Joselito Sion and the officers took their oath before Past District Governor Nanette Garcia, with the ceremony witnessed by District Governor Victor Federico Acepcion, District Governor-Elect Carlo dela Cruz and PDGs Maria Ester Espina, Jude Doctora, Rafael Jocson, Enigardo Legislador, Ramiro Garcia and Ramon Cua Locsin, among others.
The other officers are vice president Hargie Tan, secretary Roseo Depra, treasurer Sharon Parrocho, directors Juliana Carbon for Club Administration, Espina for Membership, May Castro for Public Image, Paul Parrocho for Service Projects, Gardenia de Erit for The Rotary Foundation and immediate past president Rolem Basiya, who also chairs the New Generations Committee.

Legislador also took oath as Club Learning Facilitator, Lourdes Rosa Abelido as chair of Fundraising Committee and Midnight Basiya who will head the Fellowship Committee.
As his first act as president, Sion inducted new members Midnight Basiya and Reljun Oloroso. He also signed on behalf of the club the renewal of the sisterhood agreement with the Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo, represented by immediate past president Ellie Gatmaitan.

The agreement was forged in 2020 during the term of past president Agnes Glia Mabag, with the signing done via zoom. For five years, both clubs have collaborated in various initiatives.*
