A 27-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified suspects in Brgy. Caliban, Murcia, Negros Occidental, on Sunday night, March 29.
Police identified the victim as alias “Aljon,” a resident of Brgy. Caliban.
Investigation showed the victim was riding a motorcycle with his cousin when they were suddenly shot multiple times at around 7:40 p.m.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot.
His companion, identified as alias “Nico,” managed to escape and sought help from a barangay official.
Police said the incident was reported at around 9:45 p.m., prompting authorities to respond and investigate.
Scene of the Crime Operatives were requested to process the area, while hot pursuit operations were launched against the suspects.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive and identify the suspects.*
