A team from Relief International has arrived in Negros Occidental to help the Provincial Health Office convince more Negrenses to get vaccinated against COVID-19, Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, Provincial Health Officer, said Monday, October 17.
The Relief International team members have been deployed in Sipalay City, Cauayan and Kabankalan City because COVID-19 vaccination in those areas has been very low, Tumimbang said.
The team will be launching COVID-19 vaccination demand generation campaigns in the three areas until December, he said.
Relief International has partnered with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in carrying out its campaign.*
