The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR) will mobilize 3,119 personnel from the Philippine National Police, partner agencies, and force multipliers from October 30 to November 3, to strengthen security, intensify crime prevention, and safeguard the public during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

Of the 3,119 personnel to be deployed, 1,773 are PNP personnel, 340 are from other units, and 1,006 are force multipliers, the PRO NIR said Wednesday, Oct. 21.

They will be strategically deployed across the NIR, particularly in cemeteries and columbaria, places of worship, major thoroughfares, transportation hubs, and tourist destinations.

PRO NIR will be placed under full alert status to ensure operational readiness and the immediate availability of personnel for deployment as needed.

All police units will remain vigilant and prepared, with emphasis on crime prevention, the protection of lives and property, and prompt police assistance to the public, the PRO NIR said.

Checkpoints will be established in strategic areas, while regular mobile patrols will help monitor security conditions and deter criminal activities.

Police Assistance Desks (PADs) will also be set up in designated cemeteries and columbaria to assist visitors and address their concerns.

These measures will be complemented by close coordination with local government units, partner law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and force multipliers to strengthen police visibility, facilitate traffic management, and ensure prompt response to incidents and security concerns, particularly in areas expecting large crowds and increased public movement during the Undas observance, the PRO NIR said.

PBGen. Rudecindo L. Reales, PRO NIR Regional Director, said  crime prevention and public safety remain the top priorities for Undas 2026.

He stressed that the primary duty of the police during this period is to ensure the safety of the public and prevent any threats to security.

Reales directed all police personnel to remain alert, disciplined, and ready to respond to the needs of the community, emphasizing that protecting lives and property through proactive crime prevention is paramount.

He also urged the public to stay vigilant, secure their personal belongings, and report any suspicious activities to the authorities, noting that the cooperation between the police, partner agencies, and the community is key to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and orderly observance.

PRO NIR also  urges the public to observe safety precautions when visiting cemeteries and memorial parks, keep personal belongings secure, follow traffic and safety regulations, and cooperate with authorities.

The public is also encouraged to promptly report suspicious activities or emergencies to the nearest police personnel, police station, or Police Assistance Desk (PAD) to help prevent untoward incidents and ensure a safe and orderly observance of Undas.*
