PRO-NIR swears in 39 new non-uniformed personnel

Thirty-nine newly hired non-uniformed personnel formally joined the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region after taking their oaths of office in Bacolod City, on Tuesday, March 17.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Brgy. Estefania.

PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, NIR regional director, led the ceremony attended by police officials, personnel, and the families of the new hires.

The 39 successful applicants came from different units, including three from the Bacolod City Police Office, 10 from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, four from the Siquijor Police Provincial Office, and 22 from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office.

The police said the applicants underwent a rigorous screening and recruitment process before being accepted into service.

Ibay said the oath-taking marks the beginning of their role in supporting police operations and community programs.

Non-uniformed personnel play a vital role in ensuring efficient and effective police service, he said.*
