PRO-NIR reports over P3.8M in shabu seized in weeklong operations

The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region reported the seizure of more than P3.8 million worth of suspected shabu and the arrest of dozens of suspects during weeklong police operations from Jan. 26 to Sunday, Feb. 1.

PRO-NIR said police units conducted 40 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 44 individuals and the confiscation of 520.1987 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P3,811,902.

The police also carried out 42 operations against loose firearms, accounting for 18 firearms, confiscating 21 others, recording the surrender of 23 firearms, and recovering three explosives.

In the campaign against illegal gambling, authorities conducted 13 operations that led to the arrest of 41 individuals and the confiscation of P6,128 in bet money.

PRO-NIR also reported the arrest of 64 wanted persons through 64 operations, including 16 most wanted persons and 48 other wanted persons.*
