PRO-NIR honors 10 police officers for outstanding service

Ten police officers from across Negros Island were recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication to duty during a Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) awarding ceremony at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Monday, Oct. 27.

The ceremony honored the exemplary contributions of police officers who demonstrated courage, integrity, and professionalism in law enforcement operations that led to the arrest of wanted persons, confiscation of illegal drugs, and seizure of unlicensed firearms, a press release from PRO-NIR said.

Among those recognized were officers from Canlaon City, Santa Catalina, Pontevedra, E.B. Magalona, and Dumaguete City police stations, who received medals for gallantry, excellence, and meritorious service under the PNP’s Medalya ng Kadakilaan and Medalya ng Kagalingan.

Those honored included PLtCol. Marlon J. Mallorca and PSSg. Al Francis L. Carigay of the Canlaon City Police Station; PCpt. Edjel B. Tablate and Pat. Jeudard E. Cudias – Santa Catalina Police Station; PCpt. Darryl E. Kuhutan and PSSg. Michael John C. Matutina – Pontevedra Police Station;

PCpt. Jyan Carlo Q. Mania and PSSg. Daryl M. Pahilangga – E.B. Magalona Police Station; and PLtCol. Don Richmon T. Conag and PCpl. Chuckie V. Suelto -f Dumaguete City Police Station.

PBGen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR regional director, said their accomplishments reflect the PNP’s ongoing commitment to excellence and professionalism.

The recognition serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform to uphold peace and order across the region, ensuring a safer and more secure Negros Island, he said.*
