PPOC approves P118M in projects, P35.4M confidential fund for 2024

The Negros Occidental Provincial Peace and Order Council approved projects worth P118.2 million and a P35.4 million confidential fund for 2024 during its fourth quarter meeting at the provincial Capitol on Friday, October 27.

However, while a P35.4 million confidential fund was approved Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson only uses P8 million per year, Provincial Administrator Rayfrado Diaz said.

“The budget is based on the maximum allowable confidential fund based on our current Peace and Order Fund. The amount in excess of P8 million will be used for other programs of the PPOC,” he said.

The P118,240,000 proposed projects, activities , plans and services under the Peace and Order Fund for 2024 were also approved at the PPOC meeting presided by Lacson.
