Pop-up market set

A two-day pop-up market featuring local and homegrown products and brands will be held at Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City, August 18 to 19.

The “Samahan” Pop-Up Market II, is a two-day social collaboration that will showcase local craftsmanship, homegrown brands, and local sellers, a press release said.

It is an advocacy project to spread awareness about mindful consumption, shopping ethically, and making conscious choices, it said.

The pop-up market also aims to reduce textile waste by encouraging consumers to invest in secondhand clothing, support circular economy, and lower carbon footprint, the press release added.

“Our initiative aims to promote the growth of small businesses by providing them a platform to thrive,” the press release said, adding “It is an initiative born out of an advocacy for promoting growth and empowerment in small to medium-scale business sector.”

The social collaboration in the pop-up market ranges from clothing, pre-loved sellers, home decor, novelty items, jewelry, pastries, drinks, among others.*
