
The police arrested 13 suspects and seized shabu worth P13.5 million in buy-bust operations in Bacolod City and Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental, from Friday to Sunday, June 27 to 29.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested five persons and seized suspected shabu worth P10,438,000 in an operation at Hermelinda Homes Subdivision in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, on Saturday.
Arrested were Nadal Verde, 42, a high value drug personality along with Cheryl Bulandras, 36, Richard Javellana, 34, John Kyle Treyes, 23, and Angelo Martinez, 23.
Recovered from them was suspected shabu weighing 1.53 kilograms, the police said..
The BCPO reported that it was one of four buy-bust operations they conducted Saturday and Sunday.
The BCPO reported the recovery of another 307 grams of shabu worth P2.087 million and the arrest of four persons in various operations conducted by personnel of Police Stations 2, 5, 6, and 10 on Saturday and Sunday.
The series of operations in Bacolod resulted in the confiscation of suspected shabu weighing 1,842 grams with an estimated street drug price of P12,525,600, the police said.
The police also arrested four persons and seized suspected shabu worth P1,020,000 in Brgy. IV-Poblacion, Himamaylan City, on Friday.
Arrested were alias “Niño”, 43, “Jonathan”, 23, “Sergio”, 23, and “Bintong”, 23, of Himamaylan, the police said.
Recovered from them was suspected shabu weighing 150 grams, the police said.
The police said they also recovered a hand grenade from Niño.
All arrested suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.*
