The police arrested nine persons, including three brothers and live-in partners, and seized P256,292 worth of suspected shabu in a series of buy-bust operations in four cities and a town in Negros Occidental from Friday to Sunday, July 7 to 9.
Brothers Jude, Jove, and Jose Dela Cruz, who are 27, 30, and 40 years old respectively, and live-in partners Abundio Castañeda, 31, and Rona Mae Dalisay, 24, were arrested in Purok Season, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, in a buy-bust operation at 12:49 a.m., Sunday, July 9, the police reported.
Confiscated were10 grams of suspected shabu estimated to cost P68,000, the police said.
The suspects are detained at Bacolod City Police Station 8, PCpt. Melvin Mercado, the station commander, said.
Meanwhile, Kyle Jay Jilarbe, 26, of Brgy. Binicuil, Kabankalan City, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation on Saturday, July 8.
The police said they seized 10 grams of suspected shabu from Jilarbe with an estimated price of P68,000.
On the same day, John Paul Sergio, 21, tagged as a high-value target was arrested in Brgy. III, La Carlota City.
The police said they seized eight grams of shabu from the suspect with an estimated price of P54,400.
Joe-ane Figueroa, alias “Katong”, 39, was also arrested at Purok Maravilla, Brgy-3 Poblacion, Pontevedra, on Saturday morning.
Confiscated from Figueroa was one gram of suspected shabu valued at P6,800, the police said.
Bryan Baylosis, 23, of Brgy. 6, San Carlos City, was also nabbed in a buy-bust operation on Friday, July 7.
Confiscated from him were 8.69 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated price of P59,092, the police said.*
