Police arrest three alleged scammers

Three persons were arrested for alleged scamming operations that involved the sale of fake artificial insemination products to their victims in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Lt. Col. Joery Puerto, Bacolod City Police Office Station 8 chief, said that the suspects Arnold Reyes, his father Alan, and Nelson Elera were arrested in an entrapment operation.

Puerto said that the Arab national together with some individuals lure a target victim and sell them boxes of alleged artificial insemination products that turn out to be sachets of iced tea products.

In 2022, there was a similar operation that happened in Brgy. Singcang Airport where an Arab national would pretend to buy a house and ultimately scam a victim.

The police said that there are more groups who are still in Bacolod scamming people that is why they are warning the public against these suspicious operations.*
