A Rank 6 regional most wanted person for statutory rape was arrested in a police manhunt operation in Silay City, Negros Occidental, on Monday, April 27.
The police identified the suspect as alias “Ed,” 43, a resident of Brgy. Guinhalaran.
The arrest was carried out by Silay City Police Station in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Division under COPLAN “Hook 5.”
Authorities said the suspect was apprehended in Seaview Subdivision, Brgy. Guinhalaran.
Police said the suspect is facing four counts of statutory rape with no bail recommended.
The accused allegedly sexually abused a minor while she was playing with his daughter.
Authorities said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights upon arrest and is now under the custody of Silay City Police Station.*
