A prime mover truck loaded with sugarcane ran over and killed a woman who fell off her motorcycle at the highway in Hacienda Cornel 2, Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, on Friday, Dec. 6.
Alias “Mary”, 23, a worker at a fried chicken store in Escalante City, died after she was ran over by the truck driven by a 55-year-old man, Lt. Lovella Cordova, Cadiz City Deputy Police Chief, told DIGICAST NEGROS on Sunday, December 8.
The victim was going home to Cadiz City after her work in Escalante City when the accident occurred.
The victim attempted to overtake the truck but failed resulting to her falling on the road and being accidentally ran over, Cordova said.
The police are still waiting for the decision of the victim’s mother on whether to file a case against the suspect or agree to a settlement, she added.*
