The allegations that the Philippine National Police is a big crime group are baseless and malicious, the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (NOCPPO) director said on Thursday, September 5.
NOCPPO Director Col. Rainerio De Chavez, in a press statement, said that the accusations against the PNP are unfair.
“The accusation that the PNP is a crime group is sad, malicious, and baseless,” he said, “but this serves as a challenge for us to improve our work and show to the Filipino people that we are serious in our internal cleansing programs.”
De Chavez said that these internal cleansing programs will help them in sorting the bad cops from the good cops who are doing sincere service to the country.
Meanwhile, NOCPPO also stood with the PNP in its stand that the implementation of warrants of arrest to wanted persons who are allegedly inside the premises of Kingdom of Jesus Christ Compound in Davao is part of their functions as law enforcers.
De Chavez said that the operation at the KOJC compound is part of the police’s job to implement the law to serve justice to whatever crimes were committed by the wanted individuals.*
