A pedicab driver was shot dead at Verbena Street, Brgy. 30, Bacolod City at around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25.
The victim was identified as Harold Barrios, 45, a pedicab driver, and a resident of Purok Bagong Buhay, Brgy. 30, Bacolod City.
Police said they received a report of the shooting from the barangay secretary.
Personnel of Police Station 6 immediately responded and brought the victim to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital where he was declared dead.
He sustained a gunshot wound to the neck.
Residents in the area told police they heard a gunshot before discovering the victim.
Ther police said their investigation also showed that the victim faced multiple complaints for physical injuries and for several other incidents in the barangay prior to the shooting.*
