
Western Visayas Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel who recently underwent mandatory drug tests all tested negative, PDEA 6 reported Monday, March 28.
The PDEA-6 personnel led by Acting Regional Director Alex M. Tablate underwent the Mandatory Drug Tests (MDT) on March 22, at the PDEA 6 office in Iloilo City.
“With the agency’s implementation of the ‘One Strike Policy’ and as provided for under Republic Act 9165, members of PDEA, including drug enforcement officers, admin personnel, technical staff and job hires are required to be tested for drugs,” a PDEA 6 Facebook post said.
“As the lead agency in the campaign against illegal drugs, we observe zero tolerance even to PDEA personnel who will test positive for drug use,” Tablate said.
All agents assigned in Region 6 but are presently attending court hearings in other regions were also tested in the Laboratory Testing Centers of the agency, he said.
“All specimens yielded negative result for presence of dangerous drugs,” he added.*
