PCOM-Negros Occidental holds 23rd Dr. Telesforo De Los Reyes Memorial Lecture

Members of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine – Negros Occidental Chapter held their 23rd Dr. Telesforo J..De Los Reyes Jr. Memroral Lecture at L’Fisher Chalet 1, L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City on Wednesday,  August 5.

The event is being conducted annually to honor the enduring legacy of the late Dr. Telesforo J. De Los Reyes, Jr., through a meaningful evening of learning,  camaraderie, and professional growth.

PCOM chapter  president Dr. Lesel Ganancial gave the welcome address at the opening program, while Dr. Antonia De los Reyes, diplomate of the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology, and fellow of the Philippine Society of Anesthesiologist, introduced the first lecturer.

Dr. Emory Lourdhs De los Reyes-Reyes, the first lecturer, spoke on “Screening and Rehabilitation of Workplace Concussions”, giving doctors practical advices which they may apply to their practice.

Reyes is a graduate of the Touro University Nevada-College of Osteopathic Medicine, Henderson, Nevada, USA; Class 2023, and had her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR, USA; Class of 2027.

The second lecturer was Dr. Michael Thomas Salvador, who spoke on “The TripleThreat to Ageing: Osteoporosis, Sarcopenia, and Fraity.”

Salvador is a practicing internist and rheumatogolist. He was past president of PCON-Negros Occidental Chapter, past president of Canlaon Medical Society, and past PMA Governor for Western Visayas.

The closing remarks was delivered by PCOM-NOC vice president Dr. Junnie Martin Torrefranca., while the event was caped by a simple birthday celebration for Dr.Erlimda Delos Reyes’ 88th birthday.*
