PCCI: Bacolod, 4 others finalists for most business friendly city

Bacolod City has been named one of the Top 5 finalists in the City Level 1B category of the 2025 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Awards given  by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

The recognition places Bacolod alongside Baguio City, Butuan City, Cagayan de Oro City, and Iloilo City as among the country’s most business-friendly highly urbanized cities outside Metro Manila.

Bacolod City was PCCI’s 2024 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit  among the provincial highly urbanized cities,

 PCCI said  the awards honor LGUs that demonstrate excellence in fostering local economic growth, improving competitiveness, and creating a supportive environment for enterprises and communities.

Other cities that made it to the finalists’ roster include Davao, General Santos, Lapu-Lapu, Olongapo, and Zamboanga.

The awarding is part of PCCI’s 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo, which highlights the role of LGUs in driving sustainable development through business-friendly governance.*
