The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office seized an estimated P892,160 worth of suspected shabu during anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Negros Occidental from Jan. 5 to 11.
NOCPPO in their weekly accomplishment report said 131.2 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated in 16 operations that resulted in the arrest of 16 individuals.
Police said the anti-drug operations were part of intensified efforts to curb illegal drug activities in communities across the province.
Aside from drug operations, police also arrested seven most wanted persons through seven separate operations.
Another 17 operations against other wanted persons resulted in the arrest of 17 individuals, police said.
In anti-illegal gambling operations, police conducted three operations and arrested three persons, with P745 recovered as bet money.
Police also reported the surrender and deposit of three loose firearms during the same period.
In anti-illegal fishing operations, authorities conducted four operations, arrested 17 individuals, and seized fishing paraphernalia and fish with a combined estimated value of P19,400.*
