Nearly P5 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a series of anti-drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) from November 10 to 16.
The PRO-NIR said 25 operations were carried out, leading to the arrest of 35 individuals and the confiscation of 729.51 grams of suspected shabu, estimated at P4,994,668 based on the standard drug price.
PRO-NIR also reported 12 operations against loose firearms, where six firearms were accounted for, six were confiscated, four surrendered, one abandoned, and two explosives recovered.
Two operations against illegal gambling resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of P275.
The police also arrested 34 wanted persons in 34 operations, including eight most-wanted individuals and 26 others with outstanding warrants.*
