A street-level drug suspect was arrested and ₱170,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City early Monday, April 6.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Pol,” 45, a resident of Barangay 2.
Operatives conducted the operation at Purok Sigay, which led to the confiscation of about 25 grams of suspected shabu.
Authorities recovered six sachets of suspected illegal drugs, including the buy-bust item, along with P500 marked money and a coin purse.
The suspect was informed of his rights and is now under police custody.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against him.
Police said the operation is part of intensified efforts to curb illegal drug activities in the city.*
