The Bacolod City Police Office seized P109 million worth of suspected illegal drugs and arrested 619 individuals under Col. Noel Aliño’s watch.
PCol. Joeresty Coronica replaced Aliño as BCPO director on Tuesday. Aliño is now the director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in the National Capital Region.
A BCPO report said under the administration of Aliño from April 18, 2023, to July 19 this year they conducted 525 anti-illegal drug operations, which resulted in the arrest of 619 individuals and seizure of 16.042 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P109,088,615.12.
The BCPO also reported that 192 most wanted and 490 other wanted persons were arrested in Bacolod.
In their anti-illegal gambling operations, they apprehended 875 individuals and confiscated P87,182 worth of bet money in 261 operations, the report added.
Operations under Aliño’s administration also resulted to 56 firearms confiscated, 145 surrendered loose firearms, 42 unrenewed licensed firearms deposited, and 55 arrests.
During Aliño’s administration the BCPO had consistently been a top performing police unit in Western Visayas, the report also said.*
