OVY, LRY remain in control of another Mindanao bus firm

Leo Rey V. Yanson was re-appointed chairman of the board and president of Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc. (RTMI), while his mother Olivia V. Yanson was re-appointed corporate secretary and treasurer following the election of the firms directors today, February 10.

RTMI held its annual stockholders’ meeting and re-elected Olivia and Leo Rey Yanson, Charles M. Dumancas, Rey C. Ardo, Anita G. Chua, and Daniel Nicolas P. Golez members of the Board of Directors, a press release said.

Following the election of the directors, they held an organizational meeting.

Despite proper and timely notice, stockholders Roy V. Yanson, Ricardo V. Yanson Jr., Ma. Lourdes Celina Y. Lopez, Ma. Susan F. Yanson, and Juan Manuel Lopezwere absent, a press release from RMTI said.

Roy, Celina and Ricky, who have outstanding warrants of arrest, are believed to be unable to attend the meeting because they are currently abroad, the press release said.

Leo Rey assured the public that despite the challenges faced in 2020, RTMI remains strong and resilient.

RTM Iremains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all, he added.
