More than P8.6 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in a series of anti-drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) from Sept. 8 to 14.
Data from PRO-NIR showed that 66 anti-drug operations were launched across Negros Island, leading to the arrest of 90 drug personalities and the recovery of 1,270.166 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P8,637,128.80.
The accomplishment forms part of the weeklong Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of PRO-NIR, which also resulted in the arrest of 156 wanted persons, including 22 most wanted and 134 other wanted persons.
The SACLEO also resulted in the confiscation of firearms through 42 operations, and the apprehension of 20 individuals in 11 anti-illegal gambling operations.*
